The Product Manager / Product Owner for Digital Commerce is responsible for shaping, delivering, and optimizing digital commerce products across the business. This hybrid role blends strategic product management with hands‑on ownership of the product backlog to ensure our digital commerce experiences are valuable, usable, and feasible. You will work cross‑functionally with engineering, UX, marketing, trading, and operations teams to deliver high‑quality customer experiences, support commercial objectives, and drive continuous improvement across our digital commerce platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Vision: Contribute to the development of a clear product vision for digital commerce solutions, aligned with business priorities and customer needs. Translate strategic objectives into actionable product goals and measurable outcomes.
- Discovery, Research & Insight: Conduct market and competitor research to understand customer trends and identify new opportunities. Use data, analytics, and customer feedback to inform prioritisation and product decisions. Work with our partners to explore customer pain points and validate user‑centric solutions.
- Roadmap & Backlog Management: Create, maintain, and communicate the product roadmap for digital commerce journeys and features. Own the product backlog: define user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritisation using value‑based frameworks. Balance commercial goals, customer experience, technical feasibility, and regulatory considerations.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our partners for engineering, UX/UI, architecture, QA, analytics, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery. Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Partner with marketing and operations teams to support launches and optimise conversion.
- Delivery & Execution: Ensure features are delivered to a high quality, meeting both functional and non‑functional requirements. Support teams in clarifying requirements and removing blockers during development. Validate and sign off work against acceptance criteria.
- Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Track product performance using KPIs such as conversion, engagement, error rate, funnel drop‑off, or payment success. Analyse data and user feedback to identify opportunities for iteration and optimisation. Drive A/B tests, experiments, and data‑driven enhancements.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Clearly communicate product updates, roadmap progress, and decisions to stakeholders at all levels. Ensure alignment across business and technical teams, maintaining transparency around priorities and trade‑offs.
- Compliance, Security & Quality: Ensure products comply with relevant regulations, including data privacy (e.g., GDPR) and security best practices. Work with InfoSec and legal teams where required.
