Panthera Partners is retained by a well-regarded emerging markets infrastructure and renewable energy investor to appoint a Head of Investment. An innovative investor and developer, the fund focuses on Southeast Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, delivering sustainable and inclusive infrastructure in emerging markets. Investing across all infrastructure asset classes, the group invests in early-stage development opportunities as well as corporates and platforms, whereby they take significant minority positions in early-stage companies.
Reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer, the Head of Investment will oversee a large team split between London, Africa, and Asia. The new hire will lead on developing and implementing investment strategies, whilst also driving origination, execution, and management of investments into infrastructure projects, corporates, and platforms. Having built a diverse team, many of the senior team members come from private-sector roles in private equity, IPPs, developers and banks. Interested candidates will come from a similar background with a strong network and proven track record in originating and executing infrastructure investments.

Interested candidates will have:
- Demonstrated success investing in the infrastructure and/or renewable energy market across Africa and/or Southeast Asia (ideally both).
- An extensive network across the emerging markets with proven experience in originating investment opportunities.
- A strong track record of leading transactions to financial close, including overseeing negotiations and guiding approvals through an Investment Committee (or similar governance body).
- Proven ability to engage effectively with DFIs and government stakeholders, navigating complex and multi-layered stakeholder landscapes.
- Leadership experience having managed and mentored investment teams.
- Established relationships across both private and public-sector financing institutions.
