We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Telephone Nurse to join our site in Keele! Panthera is an independent Site Management Organisation helping pharmaceutical and contract research organisations find the right patient, for the right trial, at the right time. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled telephone calls with clinical trial participants according to study protocols.
- Provide clear information and guidance regarding study procedures, medications, and visit schedules.
- Respond to participant queries and concerns in a professional and supportive manner.
- Escalate any clinical concerns or adverse events to the appropriate principal investigator.
- Collect and accurately document patient-reported outcomes and study data during calls.
- Record adverse events, medication compliance, and symptom updates according to protocol requirements.
- Ensure all information is entered accurately into study databases.
- Monitor participant wellbeing during telephone interactions.
- Identify potential safety concerns and ensure appropriate escalation following study procedures.
- Support the coordination of study timelines by ensuring participants are contacted at required protocol timepoints.
- Liaise with investigators, study coordinators, and trial teams to ensure smooth study delivery.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with ICH-GCP guidelines, study protocols, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards (e.g., GDPR compliance).
- Participate in training and maintain up-to-date knowledge of trial protocols and procedures.
Person Specification
- Registered Nurse (NMC registered).
- Current professional registration with no restrictions.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in telephone-based patient interaction.
- Experience documenting clinical information accurately.
- Ideally from an Acute Medical Background.
- Experience working in clinical trials or research studies.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Experience using electronic data capture systems or clinical databases.
