Role and Responsibilities:
  • As Principal Investigator, ensure all training is met for each member of the research site, adhering to SOP/COPs, ICH/GCP, and local regulations.
  • Ensure all clinical trials are conducted according to Protocol, recruiting eligible patients.
  • Adhere to the study delegation logs for specific tasks.
  • Report Serious Adverse Events/Adverse Events within the outlined time scale.
  • Look after the wellbeing of trial participants and make appropriate referrals.
  • Ensure all study documentation is legible, concise, and accurate, signed off, and queries dealt with in agreed timeframes.
  • Work within the guidelines of the company SOP/COPs.
  • Participation in the out of hours/on call rota is mandatory.
  • Occasionally work at other Panthera sites or different hours/days.
  • Perform competency assessments every 3 months and keep a training portfolio up to date.
  • Have overall responsibility for the study at the site.
  • Perform PI oversight regularly, at least once a week.
  • Oversee staff training for the study and ensure delegation on logs.
  • Ensure the quality of all study documentation and hold regular meetings with the CRA.
  • Participate in internal or external audits and regulatory inspections.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:
  • GMC registered physician with a license to practice in the UK.
  • Medical Registrar level MRCP(UK).
  • At least 5 years’ clinical experience with at least 2 years in the NHS.
Desired Skills and Requirements:
  • GCP trained.
  • Previous Clinical trial experience as a Sub Investigator or Principal Investigator.
