Panoramic Associates is supporting a large primary school in the Wirral with their search for an Interim School Business Manager.

The Role:

  • This is a day-to-day, operational SBM position with a varied remit, but not a heavy strategic finance/HR brief.
  • Processing and overseeing invoices and day-to-day financial administration.
  • Managing routine HR/admin requests (with core HR/finance support handled centrally).
  • General school business operations (e.g. admin / compliance / H&S support).
  • Line managing 3 admin assistants.
  • Reporting into the Headteacher.

Contract Details:

  • Onsite: 5 days per week (single school site).
  • Hours: approx. 36 hours/week.
  • Term-time only: not working through half-term.
  • Start: ideally by Monday 12th October (subject to DBS clearance).
  • Until Christmas 2026, with potential extension (possibly to Easter 2027).

Criteria:

  • Prior experience in a School Business Manager / school business support role (primary preferred) or Office Manager within a School.
  • Comfortable being onsite full-time and picking up a broad, practical workload.
  • You don’t need a formal finance qualification for this requirement.
