Interim Residential Valuer - Contract Opportunity

Duration: 6 Months
Day Rate: £350.00 (Inside IR35)
Panoramic Associates is working with a Local Authority seeking an experienced Residential Valuer to join their Commercial Property team on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise in residential valuation and asset management while playing a key role in ensuring effective use of the council\'s property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Right to Buy valuations under the Housing Act 1985, including cases referred to the DV.
Undertake Section 42 lease extension valuations and manage associated notices.
Produce clear, professional valuation reports for council-owned residential properties.
Draft lease plans for Right to Buys, freehold sales, and Leasehold Reform Act cases.
Review and sign off third-party desktop Right to Buy valuations efficiently.
Provide advice and valuations on housing rents as required.
Support the preparation of capital and revenue estimates for acquisitions, disposals, and leasing of council assets.
Liaise with internal teams, tenants, and stakeholders to arrange inspections and gather information.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and RICS best practice standards.
What We\'re Looking For
A qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS/FRICS) or equivalent, with proven residential valuation experience.
Strong knowledge of Right to Buy and leasehold reform legislation.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet statutory deadlines.
Public sector/local authority experience is highly desirable.
