Interim GIS / LLPG Specialist (Gazetteer) - Fully Remote Inside IR35 3-6 month contract (potential for extension)
Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client to facilitate the urgent appointment of an experienced GIS / LLPG specialist. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role and would suit someone who can hit the ground running with minimal handover, helping to keep the council's gazetteer and mapping function running smoothly.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Maintain and update the Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG), including property reference and UPRN-related updates
- Support Street Naming and Numbering (SNN) processes and associated admin/activity
- Ensure accurate uploads/submissions to the national portal and resolve validation issues where needed
- Support data feeds used by blue light/emergency services and maintain high data accuracy
- Process incoming eForms requests and complete required checks
- Carry out policy/compliance checks and ensure records meet required standards
- Provide customer updates and support cost chasing where applicable
- Complete GIS mapping work and help reduce backlog items
- Produce boundary maps using QGIS
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Strong recent experience in an LLPG / gazetteer role (not just general GIS)
- Experience working within a Local Authority / council environment
- Working knowledge of Street Naming and Numbering (SNN)
- Confidence using QGIS for mapping and boundary outputs
- Ability to work independently and handle urgent, high-volume workloads
This role is offered on a 3-6 month contract, fully remote, inside IR35, with a view to extension depending on service requirements.
