Known as the "Garden of England", Kent is home to a diverse mix of commercial assets, historic buildings and development opportunities. We are supporting a local authority looking for a Property & Asset Management Manager to take a leading role in managing and shaping its property portfolio. This role offers a broad mix of strategic asset management, landlord & tenant work, acquisitions and disposals, alongside oversight of compliance, maintenance and property performance. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, helping to influence decisions around the Council's assets and future investment priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the Council's corporate landlord and asset management function.
  • Provide line management and strong leadership of the Property and Asset Maintenance teams.
  • Managing lease renewals, rent reviews, lettings and wider landlord & tenant matters.
  • Delivering acquisitions, disposals and valuations across a varied property portfolio.
  • Developing asset management initiatives that support income generation and capital receipts.
  • Overseeing property maintenance, compliance and MEES programmes.
  • Managing budgets, consultants and external contractors.
  • Providing property advice to senior officers and elected members.

About You

Experienced within Estates Management, Asset Management or Corporate Property Management.
