Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer

Nottingham (Hybrid – 2-3 days office/site)
£50,000-£60,000 + benefits (no car allowance)

I\’m currently working with a consultancy who are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join their expanding M&E and Net Zero team at their Nottingham office.

You\’ll work alongside the Managing Engineer who\’s building and leading a talented M&E team. With several junior and intermediate engineers in place, they now need a technically strong Senior to take ownership of projects, mentor others, and deliver high-quality mechanical design work.

What you\’ll do

• Lead mechanical design on refurbishment and retrofit projects
• Undertake site surveys, assessments and detailed design
• Produce designs, specifications and reports using Hevacomp / IES / AutoCAD / Revit
• Support and develop junior engineers
• Help deliver low-carbon and energy-efficient building solutions

What we\’re looking for

• 5+ years\’ post-qualification experience in Building Services Engineering
• Strong background in refurbishment and retrofit – essential
• Consultancy or contracting background (either is fine)
• Confident leading projects and working directly with clients
• Degree in Building Services / Mechanical Engineering
• Chartered or working towards
• Within commuting distance of Nottingham
