Senior Estates Manager - Hybrid - £(Apply online only) a day - Hertfordshire.

Hertfordshire is where Elizabeth I learned she had become Queen but this local authority is now looking for a different kind of estates leader.

Together a Hertfordshire based local authority & Panoramic are seeking an experienced Interim Estates Manager to lead its estates team and help shape the future of its property portfolio.

This is a varied opportunity combining team leadership with hands-on delivery across strategic estate management, commercial landlord and tenant matters, covenant releases, valuations, development opportunities and disposals.

The assignment

Set priorities and manage workloads across the estates team.

Provide strategic advice on the council’s property portfolio.

Identify and progress development and disposal opportunities.

Resolve complex landlord and tenant matters, including rent reviews.

Handle covenant releases, deed variations, consents and historic restrictions.

Oversee valuations relating to lease extensions and freehold reversions.

Maintain strong relationships with residents, businesses and internal stakeholders.

Ensure property activity meets legislative and council requirements.

Your experience

A strong background in commercial estates and asset management.

Previous experience leading an estates team or property service.

Detailed knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation.

Confidence handling complex valuations, covenants and property negotiations.

Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Local authority experience would be particularly beneficial.

A relevant property or surveying qualification.

MRICS or FRICS status is preferred.
