A large London local authority client is seeking an interim finance professional to provide critical additional capacity across Children's Social Care finance and Education finance (DSG/SEND) during a period of significant change. This assignment has been scoped to support a high-profile programme of work, including a service restructure bringing Children's and Education closer together, alongside preparation activity for a SEND Reform Plan submission. The purpose is to ensure the two areas remain aligned, key linking activity is delivered, and core teams are protected from burnout while business-as-usual continues.

You will act as a bridge between the Children's and Education finance accounts, providing practical support and coordination across both workstreams. This is not a niche “deep specialist” post in one technical area; the hiring manager is looking for someone who can operate comfortably across both domains, join dots, and keep delivery moving.
