Are you an experienced Revenues professional ready to take the lead in shaping a high-performing service?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking council as a Revenue and Debt Manager, overseeing all aspects of Council Tax and National Non-Domestic Rates (NNDR) administration, collection, and enforcement.

You\’ll play a key role in driving performance, compliance, and innovation across the service, leading a large team and influencing strategic decisions that directly impact residents and businesses.

The Role

As Revenue and Debt Manager, you\’ll:

• Lead and inspire a team of 3 Team Leaders, 5 Specialist Officers, and up to 50 Revenue Officers.
• Oversee effective billing, collection, recovery, and enforcement processes for Council Tax and NNDR.
• Manage the in-house Council Tax service and the outsourced NNDR provider, ensuring high-quality performance.
• Oversee customer services delivered face-to-face, by phone, and online.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategic plans to enhance revenue services.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Council Tax and NNDR regulations.
• Manage budgets effectively and maintain strong governance and financial control.
• Act as an ambassador for the council, fostering partnerships with external organisations and stakeholders.
