Panoramic Associates are supporting a well-established housing provider with the appointment of an experienced Gas Engineer to join their Property Operations team. Working as part of the wider Gas Team, you will carry out servicing, breakdowns, and repairs across occupied properties, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current gas regulations and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out annual gas servicing, maintenance, breakdowns, and repairs across residential properties
  • Accurately completing Gas Safe certificates and associated compliance documentation
  • Identifying and reporting defects, ensuring appropriate remedial actions are taken
  • Delivering high-quality repairs with a strong focus on 'right first time' service delivery
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Gas Safe regulations and Health & Safety legislation
  • Managing and attending scheduled appointments while maintaining excellent customer service standards
  • Working effectively both independently and as part of a wider operational team
  • Participating in an out-of-hours standby rota covering emergency gas and plumbing repairs
  • Liaising professionally with tenants and residents within occupied homes
  • Maintaining allocated vehicles, tools, equipment, and van stock responsibly
  • Using mobile technology and digital systems to record and manage works effectively
  • Attending training sessions, toolbox talks, appraisals, and ongoing professional development activities

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Current domestic gas qualifications including CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, WAT1, and CENWAT
  • Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Plumbing & Heating or Gas Engineering
  • Previous experience working within domestic repairs, servicing, and maintenance environments
  • Strong understanding of Gas Safe regulations and Health & Safety legislation
  • Experience working within a customer-focused environment, ideally social housing or residential property
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT literacy and confidence using mobile working technology
  • Full UK Driving Licence
