Panoramic Associates is partnering with a London-based local authority to recruit a senior Operations Manager (Mechanical & Electrical). This is an exciting opportunity for a leader with strong M&E expertise and surveying skills to manage a high-performing team delivering planned and reactive maintenance across schools and community buildings.

If you hold an NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in M&E, a building trade, or a relevant degree, and have extensive knowledge of M&E maintenance, compliance, and project delivery, we want to hear from you.
You will have proven leadership experience managing multi-skilled teams and contractors, with strong technical reporting, budget control, and stakeholder engagement skills. A proactive, solution-focused approach, coupled with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, will ensure your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of 13+ engineers and facilities staff, driving performance, training, and service excellence.
Oversee planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building fabric services.
Deliver capital projects up to £250k, managing contractors, budgets, and ensuring best value and quality.
Conduct condition surveys and plan compliance works in line with legislation.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive innovation, efficiency, and shared use opportunities across TRA and VCS communities.
Maintain statutory and Health & Safety compliance, leading by example in a fast-moving, high-volume environment.
