How to prepare for a job interview at Panoramic Associates

✨Know Your SEN Stuff

Make sure you brush up on your knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the specific requirements of the role. Familiarise yourself with the latest SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and best practices in inclusion leadership. This will show that you're not just a candidate, but someone who genuinely understands the field.

✨Showcase Your Hands-On Experience

Since this role requires immediate operational support, be ready to discuss your previous hands-on experience as an SENCo or in similar roles. Prepare examples of how you've successfully managed annual reviews, documentation, and compliance in the past. This will demonstrate your capability to hit the ground running.

✨Highlight Your Leadership Potential

Even though this is a short-term position, the school is looking for someone with long-term potential. Be prepared to talk about your vision for inclusion leadership and how you can contribute to the school's strategic goals. Share any relevant experiences where you've led initiatives or improved SEND provision.

✨Ask Thoughtful Questions

Interviews are a two-way street, so come armed with questions that show your interest in the role and the school. Ask about their current SEND challenges, how they measure success in their provision, and what support they offer to their SEN staff. This not only shows your enthusiasm but also helps you gauge if the school is the right fit for you.
