Looking for a role where you can genuinely get stuck into a varied estates workload rather than being pigeonholed into one area? We're working with a South London Local Authority looking to bring in an experienced Estates Surveyor to support a diverse property portfolio. From acquisitions and disposals through to valuations, rent reviews and landlord & tenant matters, you'll be involved in work that has a direct impact on the performance and future direction of the Council's estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on acquisitions and disposals of land and property assets
- Undertake lease renewals, rent reviews and general landlord & tenant matters
- Provide valuation advice across a varied commercial portfolio
- Negotiate easements, wayleaves, licences and other property agreements
- Support strategic asset management and estate optimisation projects
- Advise on development opportunities and property-related initiatives
- Work closely with tenants, developers, legal teams and senior stakeholders
About You
- Strong experience across acquisitions, disposals and estates management
- Proven background undertaking valuations, lease negotiations and rent reviews
- Knowledge of compulsory purchase, compensation and asset valuation work
- Previous Local Authority or Public Sector experience
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
