The opportunity A large, values-led Multi-Academy Trust is appointing an HR Adviser (Case Officer) to provide high-quality employee relations and casework support. You'll manage a dedicated caseload and work closely with an allocated group of schools, advising leaders across a broad range of HR matters.
Key responsibilities
- Managing employee relations (ER) casework end-to-end, including:
- Absence management
- Grievances
- Disciplinaries
- Advising and supporting school leaders with day-to-day HR guidance and best practice
- Working confidently within a unionised environment, supporting consultation and ensuring fair, consistent process
- Ensuring cases are handled in line with Trust policies, employment law, and agreed timescales
What we're looking for
- Strong, demonstrable experience in a casework-focused HR/ER role
- Confident handling absence, grievance and disciplinary processes
- Experience working in a unionised setting (highly important) and knowledge of local authorities
