We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled environmental health professional to join our Private Sector Housing team as Principal Environmental Health Officer. This senior operational role provides expert technical leadership in housing standards enforcement. You will lead complex investigations and enforcement actions, supervise and mentor a team of officers, and support the delivery of high-quality services aimed at improving conditions in the private rented sector.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading complex enforcement cases, investigations, and legal proceedings
- Providing specialist technical advice, mentoring, and day-to-day supervision to the team
- Undertaking inspections and ensuring compliance with relevant housing and public health legislation
- Contributing to service improvements and representing the team with external partners
