Job Description

Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join Our Client as an IT Configuration and Asset Lead for a Social Housing Provider.

This strategic position has been created to strengthen and oversee the company's IT Asset Management and Configuration Management practices. As a key driver of lifecycle control and data governance, you will play a crucial part in ensuring precise asset tracking, data accuracy, and process optimisation. Your work will directly support critical IT service management functions, enhancing operational efficiency and strategic decision-making within the organisation.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and refinement of IT Asset and Configuration Management operating modelsManage the complete lifecycle of hardware assets, from procurement through to secure disposalMaintain and optimise the Asset Management Database and Configuration Management Database, ensuring data integrityEstablish and enforce data standards, controls, and accountability protocolsReconcile data across service management, procurement, inventory, and supplier systems to ensure consistencySupport IT service processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Risk Management with accurate configuration dataOversee IT Asset Disposition activities, ensuring supplier compliance and risk mitigationContribute to planning efforts such as refresh cycles, demand forecasting, and cost managementDocument, maintain, and improve policies, procedures, and knowledge resources to support operational excellenceEssential Skills & ExperienceProven experience in managing IT Asset and Configuration Management within complex organiational environmentsSolid understanding of hardware lifecycle management and Data Governance principlesPractical proficiency in operating and improving asset and configuration databases, with experience in data reconciliation across multiple systemsFamiliarity with ITIL frameworks and service management controls, with HaloITSM experience considered an advantageDemonstrable ability to produce management reports, assurance evidence, and continuous improvement plansStrong stakeholder and supplier management, with a focus on issue investigation and proactive resolutionDesirable Skills & ExperienceAdvanced knowledge of HaloITSM platformExposure operating within a Social Housing settingExperience with data standards development and governance practicesExposure to IT service architecture and related project management activitiesAbility to navigate and influence multi-disciplinary teams and external partnersThis is a contract opportunity offering a chance to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking organisation.
