Interim Planning Policy Programme Manager Location: South of England (Remote with occasional site visits) Contract Length: 6 months (likely extension) Days in Office Required: Hybrid (flexible remote working with 1-2 days in the office per week) Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client based in the South of England to facilitate the appointment of an Interim Planning Policy Programme Manager on a contract basis for an initial 6-month period (likely extension). The client is currently in the process of reviewing and updating their planning policies to support future development in the area. This role will oversee a number of policy initiatives, ensuring that all are aligned with current national legislation and local objectives. Responsibilities of the Role: Lead and manage the delivery of planning policy programmes, ensuring that they are on track, within scope, and delivered to a high standard. Provide strategic advice to senior management and stakeholders, facilitating decision-making in line with planning policy. Manage and mentor a small team, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of key tasks. Review and implement planning policies, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and support sustainable development goals. To be successful in the role you will have: Extensive experience in planning policy or programme management within the public sector. Strong knowledge of planning legislation, national policies, and local authority processes. Proven ability to manage complex projects, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
