Panoramic is collaborating with a Local Authority in Yorkshire and the Humber to recruit an experienced Class 3 Registered Building Control Surveyor. This role is pivotal in ensuring that new and existing buildings comply with statutory regulations, safeguarding community safety and structural integrity.
In this role, you will independently conduct statutory site inspections, manage compliance with Building Regulations, and engage with developers to ensure all standards are met. You will work on diverse projects, including high-profile and complex builds, which require thorough technical knowledge and decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct unsupervised on-site inspections to confirm compliance with Building Regulations and relevant legislation.
- Provide technical guidance to developers and builders on compliance matters.
- Manage records of site activities and ensure data is up-to-date in the asset management system.
- Attend team meetings, working groups, and relevant seminars as directed by the Service Manager.
- Inspect and approve works under Improvement Grants, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and ensure health and safety standards are met in all operations.
- Class 3 Registration with a recognized body.
- Proven experience in building control inspections, ideally in a public sector setting.
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and compliance.
- Effective communication skills for managing client and contractor relationships.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards in community and environmental health.
