Panoramic Associates is supporting a large primary school in the Wirral with their search for an Interim School Business Manager.
The Role:
- This is a day-to-day, operational SBM position with a varied remit, but not a heavy strategic finance/HR brief:
- Processing and overseeing invoices and day-to-day financial administration
- Managing routine HR/admin requests (with core HR/finance support handled centrally)
- General school business operations (e.g. admin / compliance / H&S support)
- Line managing 3 admin assistants
- Reporting into the Headteacher
Contract Details:
- Onsite: 5 days per week (single school site)
- Hours: approx. 36 hours/week
- Term-time only: not working through half-term
- Start: ideally by Monday 12th October (subject to DBS clearance)
- Until Christmas 2026, with potential extension (possibly to Easter 2027)
Criteria:
- Prior experience in a School Business Manager / school business support role (primary preferred) or Office Manager within a School
- Comfortable being onsite full-time and picking up a broad, practical workload
- You don't need a formal finance qualification for this requirement
