Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority to facilitate the appointment of a Technical Support Officer to support the Building Control service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator/support professional with Building Control knowledge to join a busy, customer-facing team and help ensure applications, enquiries and case administration are managed efficiently and compliantly.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Providing technical/business support to the Building Control team, ensuring efficient day-to-day administration of the service.
- Logging, processing and administering Building Control applications, notices and related documentation.
- Managing the Building Control inbox and responding to customer, contractor and stakeholder enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Supporting the scheduling and coordination of inspections, meetings and site visits, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Updating internal systems/CRM and maintaining accurate case files, correspondence, and compliance records.
- Liaising with internal departments and external partners (residents, agents, contractors, developers) to obtain information and resolve queries.
- Assisting with the production of completion documentation and general service reporting where required.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Experience in a technical support/administration role within Building Control (or a closely related regulatory/technical environment).
- Strong knowledge of Building Control processes, documentation, and customer service standards.
- Confidence managing high volumes of enquiries, prioritising workload and working to deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records and case notes on internal systems.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
