Panoramic Associates is currently working with a Local Authority client based in Cambridgeshire to facilitate the appointment of a Systems & Transactional Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning a finance system, improving end-to-end processes, supporting users, and delivering upgrades/projects, while still staying close to core finance operations.
The background we’re open to:

Key responsibilities:
- Own and develop the TechOne (T1) financial system, supporting day-to-day operations, reconciliations, interfaces, and a smooth year-end close-down.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including system suppliers, auditors, banking partners, and shared-service partners, ensuring effective system performance and service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation, working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to enhance existing modules and implement new functionality.
- Support and empower users, providing training, guidance, and practical support, as well as managing system queries and upgrades.
- Work closely with finance teams to support accurate reporting, including forecasting, budgeting tools, and contribution to the Statement of Accounts.
What we’re looking for:
- AAT qualified or part-qualified CCAB.
- Strong experience in a finance systems / finance process environment (systems admin, super-user, reporting, workflows, controls).
- Confident communicator who can support stakeholders at all levels and deliver user training.
- TechnologyOne (TechOne / T1) experience.
- Treasury and/or VAT exposure.
- Project / change delivery experience (upgrades, implementations, process redesign).
