Panoramic Associates are excited to be working with a large legal team within a Local Authority based in the Midlands, who are looking for an experienced Contracts and Procurement Solicitor to join them for an initial 3-6 months contract to take on a management role, supervising and supporting their commercial contracts & procurement legal team.
The successful candidate will be able to work on a hybrid basis in this position, most of the work can be done remotely however there will be an expectation for some office-based working required on occasion for meetings and due to supervision aspects of the role.
The role will involve providing support and supervision of a small team of Solicitors within a wider commercial department, facilitating 1-to-1s, monitoring workload allocation and ensuring the service operates effectively. As a senior member of the commercial team, you will be involved in advising on complex commercial matters and maintaining effective working relationships with the senior client managers.

A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister, alternatively, non-qualified Lawyers with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.

Good practical knowledge of Commercial Contracts and Procurement practices in Local Government including dealing with the drafting and negotiations of commercial contracts to include IT contracts.

Previous experience managing and supervising within a local government environment.
