I'm currently working in partnership with a highways and infrastructure consultancy with the crucial hire of a Drainage Engineer to enhance their growing team, and join them on a permanent basis. 2-3 days office/onsite hybrid working.

Location: South Wales

Responsibilities

  • Development of drainage solutions for highway, infrastructure and flood alleviation schemes from feasibility, throughout the design process, tender, detailed design and construction stages.
  • The use of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Causeway Flow drainage design software.
  • Compilation of NEC tender/contract documentation.
  • Designing sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) with successful experience of SAB applications.

Experience

  • Production of drainage design calculations, models, detail design drawings & specifications.
  • Thorough understanding of drainage design principles including foul, surface water, land drainage and SuDS.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the SAB process.
  • Clear evidence of successful management of projects/programmes and teams to meet both quality and commercial targets.
  • Be adept with Civil 3D and Causeway Flow, be well-versed in the preparation of notes and specifications sufficient for technical approvals and construction.
