This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled production operative to join a manufacturing environment in a leading manufacturer of radio frequency (RF) antenna products. The role would suit a motivated individual looking to work as part of a friendly team.
Job Objective
- Assisting with fulfilment of production orders
- Perform soldering tasks on various antenna components according to technical specifications (Training can be provided)
- Ensure all soldered connections are secure and meet quality standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to understand soldering requirements
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues found in the drawings to the supervisor
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team
- Assisting with quality test and inspection
- Liaising with other departments as required fulfilling orders and ensuring manufacturing proceeds according to the needs of the customers and the business
- Assisting in maintaining the efficient operation of the manufacturing area
- Perform heat shrink operations on products as required
- Assisting resolution of problems and implementing process improvements to gain efficiencies and reduce wastes (Time, process, material) and advising of any issues or improvements
- Assisting in maintaining a clean working environment, by cleaning work areas and shop floor at regular intervals
- Maintaining safe working environments by following relevant H&S procedures and advising of any issues or improvements
- Undertake any reasonable ad hoc work as requested by the Site Manager
Specific Knowledge & Skills
- Assembly of RF products – experience in fitting connectors is essential
- Committed to safety, quality and productivity
- Soldering and connectors fitting experience is essential
- Knowledge how to use network analyser would be beneficial
- Good computer literacy and confident working with numbers – basic numeracy essential
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform repetitive soldering tasks for extended periods
- Flexibility to effectively switch between tasks
- Good timekeeping
Working Hours
Permanent full time position, 40 hours per week with 1 hour lunch break (unpaid) Monday to Friday: 8am-5pm
