This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled production operative to join a manufacturing environment in a leading manufacturer of radio frequency (RF) antenna products. The role would suit a motivated individual looking to work as part of a friendly team.

Job Objective

  • Assisting with fulfilment of production orders
  • Perform soldering tasks on various antenna components according to technical specifications (Training can be provided)
  • Ensure all soldered connections are secure and meet quality standards
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to understand soldering requirements
  • Communicate any discrepancies or issues found in the drawings to the supervisor
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team
  • Assisting with quality test and inspection
  • Liaising with other departments as required fulfilling orders and ensuring manufacturing proceeds according to the needs of the customers and the business
  • Assisting in maintaining the efficient operation of the manufacturing area
  • Perform heat shrink operations on products as required
  • Assisting resolution of problems and implementing process improvements to gain efficiencies and reduce wastes (Time, process, material) and advising of any issues or improvements
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean working environment, by cleaning work areas and shop floor at regular intervals
  • Maintaining safe working environments by following relevant H&S procedures and advising of any issues or improvements
  • Undertake any reasonable ad hoc work as requested by the Site Manager

Specific Knowledge & Skills

  • Assembly of RF products – experience in fitting connectors is essential
  • Committed to safety, quality and productivity
  • Soldering and connectors fitting experience is essential
  • Knowledge how to use network analyser would be beneficial
  • Good computer literacy and confident working with numbers – basic numeracy essential
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to perform repetitive soldering tasks for extended periods
  • Flexibility to effectively switch between tasks
  • Good timekeeping

Working Hours

Permanent full time position, 40 hours per week with 1 hour lunch break (unpaid) Monday to Friday: 8am-5pm
