Responsibilities
- Passion for great food – be a real foodie who loves food and wants to work with like‑minded people who share our passion.
- Be competent in all areas of the kitchen, including food preparation, maintaining cleaning standards and regulations.
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of fresh food and cooking techniques.
- Clean and maintain the kitchen by practising good safety, sanitation and adhering to Health and Safety procedures.
- Work to tight deadlines in a QSR environment.
- Implement inventory controls to track stock levels and minimise waste.
- Support setup, maintenance, handover and close‑down of workstations each shift.
- Complete all training to be fully aware how to maintain a safe environment for our team and guests.
- Have a strong knowledge of all product specs to deliver the menu to the highest standards.
- Roll sushi, work the pass, work in the hot section, prep raw products and maintain a clean & safe environment abiding by Food Safety protocol and following the Trail app.
- Be a part of the YO! Team, a real team player who enjoys supporting the rest of the team in the running of a great YO!.
- Keep yourself well informed of what’s going on and what’s new to YO! by regularly checking YO! 360, attending team meetings and interacting with team briefs.
- Work as a team aiming to deliver an exceptional guest experience across each & every shift.
- Be aware of how you can contribute to the success of your restaurant and its profitability.
- Ensure daily records of delivery, wastage and temperature checks are completely and accurately recorded.
- Complete all cleaning tasks in a timely manner as prescribed in the Trail app.
