About You

  • Proven experience in logistics, import/export or supply chain (FMCG or food manufacturing is a big plus)
  • Strong knowledge of international trade, customs compliance and Incoterms
  • Experience managing freight forwarders, 3PLs and logistics partners
  • Comfortable working with ERP/WMS systems and data (Excel skills essential)
  • A natural problem-solver with strong organisational and negotiation skills
  • Confident communicating and influencing across teams and stakeholders
  • A continuous improvement mindset (Lean / Six Sigma experience is a bonus)

Key Responsibilities

  • Imports & Exports
    • Own all import and export activity — documentation, compliance, freight and delivery
    • Ensure shipments meet UK, EU and international trade and food safety regulations
    • Build strong relationships with freight forwarders, hauliers and customs agents
    • Monitor shipments, troubleshoot delays and keep everything moving
  • Logistics & Warehouse Operations
    • Oversee the flow of goods from supplier to production and factory to customer
    • Work closely with warehouse teams to improve stock accuracy and efficiency
    • Track and drive performance through KPIs (delivery, cost, turnaround, inventory)
    • Support peak periods, product launches and promotional planning
    • Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste and improve performance
    • Use data to identify opportunities and drive smarter ways of working
    • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production, Procurement and Quality teams
    • Deliver clear reporting and insights to support business decisions
