Pangolin Digital is a sister company of Pangolin Editions, our responsibilities range from engaging with artists developing initial concepts to providing viable manufacturing solutions. As a company we have grown very organically to meet the needs of artists internationally, 3D modelling and visualisation has become a major part of our studio workflow. As a team we have worked together for ten years, as a result many of our staff are multidisciplined and we now feel the time is right to recruit specifically for skilled roles.
Having a valued role on our team, you will:
- Have a good to strong understanding of human Anatomy
- Be a creative problem solver
- Able to take projects from concept to production
- Produce high quality 3D assets
- Rapidly produce multiple concepts, understanding the difference between a sketch model and a finished asset
- Thrive in an environment with quick turn-around time; understanding the sensitivities required when working with artists and within the art industry
- Work within a skilled studio, integrating with experienced staff members and sharing workflow ideas and concepts
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a 3D Artist/ Digital Sculptor
- Expert level sculpting in Zbrush
- Proficient with Blender – Modelling and Rendering
- Proficient with Substance Painter and Designer
- Proficient with Adobe Photoshop
- Intermediate proficiency Adobe Illustrator
- Intermediate proficiency with Rhino 3D
Beneficial professional skills:
- A keen eye for light, shade, colour, and detail
- Experience with texturing and look development
- Understanding of 3D production, from 3D printing to CNC machining
- Previous experience in a VFX environment
- Previous education or experience with fine art or design (sculpture, drawing, industrial design etc.)
- Previous experience working from 3D scans and/or 2D artwork
