Proposal Engineer – Remote / UK – Battery Storage Systems (BESS)
You will be joining a company at the forefront of groundbreaking advancements, delivering global Renewable Energy Solutions to over 200 countries. We are looking for someone who is ready to be the go-to company expert for Utility Scale Energy Storage Systems and play a key part in the development and pre-construction phases of BESS projects across the UK.
What you will be doing:
- Using your technical knowledge to bridge the gap between the sales and engineering teams, bringing innovative storage solutions to life.
- Manage RFP’s, write detailed proposals, create plans and strategies tailored to customer requirements.
- Estimate costs for required components, BOM’s.
- Create and review detailed designs, bespoke for client requirements.
- Forming long lasting relationships with vendors, reviewing how their products are fit for purpose.
- Keeping up to date with industry standards
- Acting as the key POC for clients technical queries related to each project throughout the process
- Liaising with internal and external teams throughout the project development process such as EPCs, Developers and IPPs.
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- Previous experience in the Renewables / Energy storage markets, ideally with a key focus on Electrical generators in BESS or Solar.
- Strong abilities to write detailed proposals and present your technical knowledge
- Competent with drafting software such as AutoCAD, Inventor or similar
- SCADA for monitoring and controlling industrial processes
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients such as EPC's, Project Developers and IPP's
- Willing to learn new skills
- Be well-versed in industry standards such as CE, UL, IEEE, IEC and NEC.
