We are seeking a highly skilled Power Analyst with experience in network analysis to join a leading tech-focused Fund – can be based in London or Geneva. You will play a critical role in analysing electricity markets, grid networks, and renewable integration to support investment strategies. Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth analysis of electricity networks using PyPSA and other advanced modelling tools.
• Develop and refine models to simulate grid dynamics, renewable energy penetration, and market behavior.
• Analyse power market trends, grid constraints, and policy impacts to identify investment opportunities.
• Collaborate with quants, traders, and developers to integrate technical insights into trading strategies.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate developments in the energy sector, including regulatory changes, technological advancements, and market structures.
Requirements
• Strong academic background in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience with PyPSA and other network modeling tools for power systems analysis.
• Solid understanding of European power markets, grid operations, and renewable energy dynamics.
• Proficiency in Python and other programming languages used for data analysis and modelling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
