Gas Trading Analyst in London

Pangea is representing a leading energy trading firm that is keen to speak with Senior Gas Analysts who will focus on fundamental analysis and contribute to long-term trading strategies in their London office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse gas supply, demand, and market dynamics in European markets.
• Develop trading strategies based on market fundamentals.
• Monitor economic, geopolitical, and weather factors affecting gas markets.
• Build and maintain quantitative models to forecast market trends.
• Produce reports and presentations for senior management and trading teams.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on strategy and market views.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in fundamental analysis within energy markets, focusing on gas.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in data modelling.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Deep understanding of European gas markets.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
