Pangea is working with a leading Global Energy and Commodities organisation to appoint a Senior Advisor, Commodity Commercial, based in London, supporting its Gas, Crude and LNG trading activities across the UK and wider European markets. This is a highly visible advisory role sitting close to the commercial front office, where you will act as the trusted compliance and regulatory partner to trading, marketing and supply teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring commodity trading activities operate confidently and compliantly within an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
Key highlights of the role:
- Act as the primary point of contact for commercial compliance and regulatory matters across UK and European commodity operations
- Advise senior stakeholders on regulations including MiFID II, EMIR, REMIT, MAR, and broader UK/EU financial and energy legislation
- Support Gas, Crude and LNG desks with practical, commercial guidance that enables business objectives while safeguarding integrity and reputation
- Monitor and assess regulatory developments, translating complex legislation into clear, actionable advice
- Collaborate closely with front office, Legal, and global compliance teams
- Develop, maintain and enhance compliance policies, procedures and controls
- Deliver compliance training and targeted communications to commercial teams and leadership
- Represent the business in relevant industry and regulatory forums
- Provide compliance and regulatory training to applicable staff
What weβre looking for:
