The Role
We are looking for a confident and personable Face-to-face Venue Booker to join our fundraising team. This is a mobile role that involves traveling between supermarkets, shops, and other high-footfall venues along the South Coast of England. Your primary responsibility will be to secure prime locations for our face-to-face fundraisers by engaging with store managers and community champions to gain permission for in-store fundraising opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and approach supermarkets, shops, garden centres, and other venues suitable for face-to-face fundraising.
- Build strong, ongoing relationships with store managers and community leads to gain and maintain access for fundraising activities.
- Help coordinate and maintain a calendar of confirmed fundraising locations, ensuring a steady pipeline of opportunities for the fundraising team.
- Represent our hospice clients professionally at all times, clearly communicating our mission and impact.
- Work closely with the fundraising team to ensure logistical needs for each venue are understood and met.
- Keep accurate records of venue contacts, availability, and booking outcomes.
- Monitor and report on venue success rates, identifying high-performing locations and opportunities for future engagement.
About You
- A natural people-person with excellent communication and persuasion skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Organised, reliable, and confident in managing a calendar and keeping detailed records.
- Comfortable travelling regularly across the South Coast of England.
- Previous experience in sales, face-to-face fundraising, or venue booking is highly desirable.
- Passionate about supporting a meaningful cause and representing respected local charities.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
