We are looking for an experienced Performance & Reward leader to drive strategic, tactical and operational initiatives across our UK and Ireland, Western Europe and Northern Europe clusters. In this highly influential role, you will oversee the design, implementation and optimisation of performance, compensation, wellbeing and benefits programmes, ensuring they deliver real value, address business challenges, and create a consistent employee experience across diverse markets. Reporting in to the HR Director for UK and Ireland, you will partner with senior stakeholders, lead a multi-cluster team, and represent the regional perspective in global programme design. You will also contribute to global P&R specialisms and high-impact strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic and Operational Leadership
    • Lead the embedding of global Performance & Reward strategies across multiple Clusters, ensuring strong local execution and business value.
    • Provide expert guidance to senior stakeholders on complex P&R matters, offering solutions that balance global standards with regional requirements.
    • Ensure all P&R materials, tools and frameworks are fit for purpose and adaptable for Cluster-level deployment.
    • Make high-level tactical decisions covering policy design, budgeting, key priorities and project planning.
    • Define and maintain competitive, locally relevant Reward offerings aligned with global frameworks and business goals.
    • Monitor P&R practices across Clusters and partner with HR Directors to identify emerging needs, risks, opportunities and best-practice improvements.
    • Oversee wellbeing programmes and drive benefits harmonisation to enhance consistency, employee value and operational efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with global standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Global Projects & Cross-Cluster Leadership
    • Serve as a key member of the global P&R team, contributing to global specialisms, steering groups and strategic initiatives.
    • Represent Cluster needs and insights in global programme design, ensuring practicality, scalability and market relevance.
    • Lead and manage multi-Cluster teams, fostering collaboration, capability development and high performance.
    • Champion the enhancement of P&R processes, tools and practices, driving innovation that strengthens employee experience and business impact.
    • Utilise data, analytics and market insights to inform decision-making and shape future P&R development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive HR and reward experience, with a proven track record in global and/or regional performance, reward and compensation roles.
  • Deep expertise across compensation, performance management, wellbeing and benefits.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing multi-country or multi-Cluster teams.
  • Strategic and tactical thinker with exceptional influencing and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, financial and commercial acumen.
  • Change management capability and comfort operating in a complex, fast-moving organisation.
  • Fluent English; French and/or German skills are a strong advantage.
  • Solid experience within the retail industry and significant exposure to senior leadership.
