About us
Pandher Wishart is a content studio specialising in thought leadership for complex and regulated sectors. We combine journalistic discipline with high production standards to help organisations communicate expertise with clarity and credibility.
The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious junior talent to grow within a fast-paced content studio. The Junior Video Editor & Data Manager will support delivery of high-quality video content while maintaining the studio's digital asset ecosystem - blending hands-on editing craft with meticulous file and data management.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Creative Director, Senior Production Manager and creative team across all stages of production.
- Video Editing
- Work with producers and directors to execute their creative vision and deliver finished content to a high standard across interviews, event coverage, social cuts and long-form thought leadership pieces.
- Carry out edits across a range of project types - from minor client amends and colour correction to independently editing smaller productions such as talking heads and internal videos; integrate final sound mixes and export to agreed delivery specifications.
- Design and create simple 2D and motion graphics using After Effects; make amends within existing AEPs and re-render graphics as required - including text updates for translated and localised versions of client videos where on-screen text is managed within After Effects.
- Ingest, label and log footage, set up edit projects and bins, bring archive footage online and prepare transcripts so projects are ready to cut on time.
- Produce high and low-res files across formats as requested, ensuring viewing copies and delivery files reach stakeholders without delay.
- Master final projects for delivery, ensuring audio mix and colour grade meet required technical specifications.
- Brief and support freelance editors on post-production systems and workflows, ensuring all freelancers work to established processes.
- Liaise with Senior Production Manager to manage workload priorities and meet deadlines.
- Data Management
- Own and maintain the studio's digital asset management (DAM) system - ensuring all media is correctly ingested, tagged, named and archived.
- Apply and enforce consistent file naming conventions, folder structures and metadata standards across all projects.
- Archive footage, masters and projects at end of production, ensuring content is stored correctly, easy to locate and drive space is used efficiently; prior to archiving, conduct a completions check by re-opening all Premiere Pro projects and AEPs to confirm all media and assets are present and no links are broken before the project is finally closed out.
- Manage media storage across cloud and server-based solutions; monitor capacity and flag risks proactively.
- Research and source stock footage across platforms including Shutterstock, iStock and Getty Images, managing downloads, licensing and organisation within the studio's asset library.
- Support rights and licensing documentation - logging music licences, archive clearances and contributor releases within internal systems.
- Contribute to improving data and asset workflows as the studio scales.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- 1-3 years' experience in a video editing, post-production or content production environment (agency, studio, in-house or broadcast).
- Adobe Premiere Pro proficiency: intermediate knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro is a must. Basic operational knowledge of After Effects is also required - the role involves checking AEPs, making text amends and re-rendering graphics, particularly for translated client videos.
- Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator would be an advantage, as client files in both formats are regularly received and worked with.
- Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, export settings and delivery specs; experience with compression and encoding software.
- Working knowledge of Frame.io, Vimeo and Google Workspace for delivery, review and project collaboration.
- Attention to detail: from spellings on lower thirds and captions to making sure our content is accessible - we do our best to get the little things right.
- Brand insight: you’ll be editing for clients in financial services, fintech, asset management and professional services - sectors where precision, credibility and tone matter. Understanding each client's brand guidelines and voice is essential to making sure every edit feels considered and on brief.
- Flexibility & positivity: you’ll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across time zones and cultures, each bringing their own vision. Strong cross-cultural communication, an open mind and a positive attitude will help you build trust quickly and shape great content - wherever in the world a client is based.
- Ability to prioritise under competing demands, with a team-first attitude and a genuine desire to learn and grow.
Desirable:
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve.
- Familiarity with DAM tools, Synology NAS or cloud archive platforms (e.g. Mega.NZ).
- Knowledge of music licensing, archive clearances and contributor release processes.
- Experience in a regulated sector (financial services, healthcare, legal) or interest in B2B thought leadership.
