We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to join our Web Engineering team and take ownership of quality assurance for the pandadoc.com website. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a QA team, designing and implementing a robust test strategy, preparing and managing website releases, and monitoring and reporting bugs and performance issues. You will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for PandaDoc's website visitors.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage the QA Team inside Web Engineering org.
- Lead technical agenda and mentor a team of Web QA engineers, providing guidance and expertise in automation testing.
- Enforcing quality gates based on the QA and Release Strategies.
- Reviewing the test coverage of Test Cases and User Stories.
- Together with the Web Engineering leadership team, work and execute QA strategic planning/developing roadmap.
- Monitor and control QA tasks/issues estimations in Weekly releases and sprint activities.
- Develop comprehensive test plans including functional, end-user, stress performance, reliability, and usability testing.
- Work closely with Developers and Delivery Team on new features, system integration, and performance testing.
- Actively participate as an SME in test planning for releases, including manual, automation, and non-functional testing.
- Actively analyze requirements from a quality engineering perspective and write automated tests.
- Execute tests throughout the entire development lifecycle (from development to pre-release and release phases).
- Release scope planning and execution.
- QA capacity possibilities for testing provided for different projects (Public Website/Localization/Content changes/A/B Tests etc).
- Bug flow processes improvement and control.
- Smoke tests scope development and updating.
- Regression tests scope development and execution.
About you:
- 5+ years of experience in testing, of which 2+ as a QA Lead.
- Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Automation activities ownership or leadership experience in a QA automation role.
- Experience with the Web tech stack.
- Expertise in API, UI automation testing.
- Experience with the Playwright framework (strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes (strongly preferred).
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS.
- Strong analytical skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A team player with a proactive, get-it-done attitude and a quick learning ability.
