Staff Product Manager, Document Experience
Panda Doc is hiring a Staff Product Manager to lead the next evolution of our document experience — redefining how users create, refine, and complete their documents through connected, intelligent, and adaptive workflows.
You’ll drive cross‑functional initiatives that make document creation seamless, editing powerful yet intuitive, and automation meaningfully helpful.
From smarter template setup to AI‑enhanced authoring and modern collaboration, your work will bridge innovation with tangible user value — helping customers move faster from ideas to signed agreements.
This is a strategic, hands‑on role for a product leader who thrives at the intersection of user experience, platform systems, and applied AI.
You’ll guide multiple squads, translate emerging technologies into cohesive product systems, and balance experimentation with disciplined execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead high‑impact initiatives across document creation, template authoring, and collaboration experiences.
- Shape cohesive experiences across the document lifecycle — connecting creation, editing, and completion into a unified flow.
- Integrate AI, automation, and agentic intelligence thoughtfully across document surfaces to make authoring, styling, and workflow setup more intuitive and context‑aware.
- Leverage AI and rapid‑prototyping techniques (e. g., vibe coding, prompt‑driven UX simulation) to validate and iterate on new experiences quickly — using tools such as Replit, Figma, or Lovable.
- Partner with design, engineering, and platform teams — collaborating on APIs, integrations, and data models to deliver scalable, adaptive systems.
- Collaborate with other senior PMs to ensure cohesive end‑to‑end user journeys across Panda Doc’s document lifecycle.
- Define and evaluate success through usability, adoption, and time‑to‑completion improvements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands‑on product management experience in B2B Saa S, ideally across document creation, productivity, or collaboration products.
- Familiar with document systems, structured content, and cross‑format editing models (PDF, DOCX, Markdown, or AI‑generated).
- Comfortable with AI/ML product development — from prompt iteration and feature evaluation to monitoring metrics like accuracy, reliability, and latency.
- Experienced in integrating AI and automation thoughtfully into UX, focusing on real user outcomes rather than standalone features.
- Understanding of agentic AI systems — how autonomous, context‑aware agents can assist users across creation, editing, and workflow execution.
- Skilled in rapid iteration and discovery — using prototypes, AI‑assisted tools, and live experiments to validate direction early.
- Strong communicator who can simplify complexity, frame trade‑offs, and align cross‑functional teams.
- Pragmatic and adaptive — able to balance experimentation with clear prioritization and delivery discipline.
- Comfortable partnering with deeply technical teams to define APIs, integrations, and data models that scale.
- Must‑Haves
- Direct experience building and shipping AI/ML‑powered product features (e. g., LLM‑based assistants, smart recommendations, automation, or generative UX).
- Hands‑on familiarity with vibe design / vibe prototyping workflows — using AI tools to rapidly prototype, test, and refine product experiences.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2C or B2B Saa S product management, ideally with exposure to collaboration or productivity platforms.
- Why Join Panda Doc
- Shape how professionals create, collaborate, and close deals — reimagining the document experience at the heart of modern business.
- Work at the intersection of UX, AI, and platform innovation — in one of Panda Doc’s most strategic product areas.
- Collaborate with a distributed, ambitious product organization that values autonomy, rigor, and deep product craft.
- Drive cross‑functional initiatives that influence Panda Doc’s strategic direction and set new standards for product excellence.
- Join a culture where experimentation, learning, and quality execution go hand‑in‑hand — and where bold ideas move fast from concept to reality.
