About the Role
We’re looking for an Operations & Commercial Compliance Team Leader to join our Widnes site. This is a varied leadership role where you’ll oversee our weighbridge and site administration teams while ensuring operational compliance, accurate reporting and excellent customer service. Working closely with operational, commercial and site management teams, you’ll help keep the site running efficiently by supporting compliance activities, managing administration processes and leading a small team. If you enjoy variety, solving problems and working across different areas of a busy operation, this could be the ideal opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and support the site’s weighbridge and administration team
- Ensure site compliance processes are completed accurately and on time
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly operational and customer reports
- Coordinate weighbridge operations, training and holiday cover
- Support waste compliance, traceability and customer documentation
- Resolve customer queries and work with internal teams to provide excellent service
- Assist with payroll administration, time and attendance and employee records
- Raise purchase orders and support supplier administration
- Coordinate office facilities, contractor visits and site compliance activities
- Support audits, investigations and continuous improvement projects
- Work closely with site management to maintain safe, efficient operations
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience supervising or leading an administrative or operational support team
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience producing reports and working with operational data
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- The ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Experience within waste, recycling, logistics, transport or another operational environment would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
