Location: Knottingley, West Yorkshire, with UK-wide travel

Start date: ASAP

Hours: Approximately 50 hours per week

Typical working hours: 6:00am–4:00pm/5:00pm, depending on the customer site

Pay: £16.00 per hour plus £30 overnight allowance

Reporting to: CWRS General Manager

The Role

We are looking for an OFTEC-qualified CWRS Field Engineer to provide temporary cover, travelling throughout the UK to service wash pads and inspect fuel tanks and interceptors. This is a hands-on, field-based role involving planned servicing, cleaning, inspection and fault-finding. You’ll largely work independently, manage your own time and liaise directly with customers while on site. Overnight stays will be required. You’ll be able to select suitable accommodation through (url removed), which will then be booked by the company within an agreed reasonable cost.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Travelling to customer sites throughout the UK
  • Servicing and maintaining wash pads
  • Inspecting fuel tanks and interceptors
  • Removing and replacing filters
  • Cleaning and inspecting system components
  • Cleaning wash pads and cutting back overgrown grass and weeds
  • Troubleshooting faulty pumps and compressors
  • Replacing pumps, compressors and other components where required
  • Completing planned and reactive repairs and maintenance
  • Working safely with hand tools and other relevant equipment
  • Managing your own workload, travel and daily schedule
  • Liaising directly with customers while on site
  • Completing job records and supporting documentation accurately
  • Following method statements and safe working procedures
  • Reporting faults, spillages, incidents and near misses
  • Maintaining professional standards when representing the company

What We’re Looking For

  • A recognised OFTEC qualification
  • A full, valid driving licence
  • Experience using hand tools and completing practical maintenance work
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage their own time
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and stay away overnight
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • A strong understanding of safe working practices
  • A current DBS check would be advantageous
  • An FLT licence would be advantageous
