At Panda, Ireland’s largest waste management business, we’re looking for reliable, hard-working people to join our operations team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support the safe and efficient collection, movement and handling of waste and recycling materials. You’ll be working outdoors, as part of a close-knit team, helping to deliver an essential service to our customers and communities. As a General Operative Support at Panda, you’ll play an important part in keeping our services running smoothly. The work is physical, fast-paced and practical, so we’re looking for someone dependable, safety-focused and willing to get stuck in.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collect and return customers’ bins along designated routes safely and efficiently
- Work outdoors with early starts and early finishes
- Load and unload vehicles safely
- Move, stack and handle materials in line with correct storage and safety practices
- Support warehouse and yard operations where required
- Carry out general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean, safe and organised
- Inspect equipment and report any faults, damage or wear and tear
- Follow all Health & Safety regulations, site rules and company procedures
- Represent Panda professionally when dealing with customers and members of the public
- Work effectively as part of a busy team, while also being able to use your own initiative
- Develop your skills in the use of loaders and material-handling equipment where required
- Complete any other reasonable duties assigned by your manager
About you:
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work
- Previous manual labour experience is required
- Own transport is required
- Good command of the English language
- Reliable, trustworthy and dependable
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Able to work without constant supervision
