About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated HGV Class 2 Driver to join Panda Waste, a leading waste management provider. Based in Ashbourne (DE6 1JF), we specialise in sustainable resource recovery and are looking for a reliable professional to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our operations, driving a range of modern HGV Class 2 vehicles. You will operate trade waste, skip loaders, and RoRo vehicles to collect and transport commercial waste. You will ensure safe and efficient collections, contributing directly to our mission of creating a cleaner, greener future.

Key Benefits & Compensation

  • Pay: Hourly rate of £17.
  • Bonuses: Extra £25 for attendance and another £25 for your daily vehicle check.
  • Work‑Life Balance: Stable, full‑time position, Monday‑Friday schedule, early starts around 5 am.
  • Modern Fleet: Drive well‑maintained vehicles with advanced safety features.

Your Responsibilities

  • Safely operate trade waste, skip, and RoRo vehicles across various customer sites.
  • Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring sites are left tidy after collection.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records via a digital tablet.
  • Adhere to all transport safety and waste management regulations.

What We're Looking For

  • A valid Category C licence, a current Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Experience operating skip loaders or trade waste vehicles is highly desirable.
  • Good route knowledge of Derbyshire and surrounding areas.
  • A safety‑focused and customer‑centric approach.
  • Physical fitness for manual handling tasks associated with skip and waste collections.
