We are looking for a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our growing team based out of our Bromborough depot, specifically operating Artic (Walking Floor) trailers.
The Role
Operating from our Bromborough site, you will play a vital role in our regional waste transport operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Class 1 vehicles, ensuring the seamless movement of materials while upholding our commitment to environmental best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles and Artic Moving/Walking Floor trailers.
- Maintain accurate digital logs and ensure strict adherence to EU drivers’ hours and the Working Time Directive.
- Conduct thorough daily vehicle safety checks and promptly report any defects.
- Follow efficient routes to maximize productivity and minimize environmental impact.
- Act as a professional ambassador for Panda Waste at all collection and delivery points.
What We Are Looking For
- A valid UK HGV Class 1 licence with an up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven Class 1 driving experience.
- Previous experience with Moving Floor / Walking Floor trailers is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to work well independently.
Competitive Pay & Overtime
- Basic Rate: £15.45 per hour (First 40 hours)
- Overtime (40+ hours): 1.25x hourly rate
- Saturdays: 1.5x hourly rate
- Bank Holidays: 2x hourly rate
