Join Panda Waste at our Quarrington depot (NG34 8NX) and play a vital role in the UK’s circular economy. We are looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team. This is a "Tramping" role, perfect for drivers who enjoy the independence of the road and are looking to maximise their earnings with consistent overtime.
The Package
- Basic Rate: £13.87 per hour
- Overtime Rate: £17.97 per hour
- Paid breaks
- High Earnings: 20 hours of overtime available weekly
- Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday (5 days away/Tramping)
- Starts: Between 05:00 and 06:00
The Role
Based out of our Quarrington depot, you will safely operate Class 1 vehicles transporting waste materials. As a Tramper Driver, you will stay away for five days a week, ensuring our nationwide operations run smoothly and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles for waste collection and delivery.
- Manage your nights away (tramping) schedule effectively.
- Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
- Maintain digital tachograph records and comply with WTD regulations.
- Provide professional service at all collection and delivery points.
What You’ll Need
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 Licence (with current CPC and Digital Tacho).
- Proven Class 1 driving experience (Waste experience preferred).
- Comfort with staying away 5 days a week.
- Good standard of English and professional attitude.
