About the Role
At Panda, we keep the country moving by delivering reliable waste and recycling services that support local communities and businesses. We are looking for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Sheffield team, operating skip and RoRo vehicles across the local area.
Responsibilities
- Operating HGV Class 2 skip and RoRo vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Delivering, exchanging, and collecting containers across commercial and industrial sites.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly (DVSA compliance).
- Using tablet-based systems to maintain accurate digital records and waste transfer notes.
- Working safely at all times and following site, transport, and road regulations.
- Providing a professional and helpful service to customers on site.
- Supporting the wider transport and depot team at our Sheffield site.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
- New Pass Drivers Welcome: support and industry-specific training for recently qualified drivers.
- Experience in skip or RoRo operations is advantageous but not essential; full training is provided.
- Strong understanding of driver compliance, vehicle safety, and daily defect checks.
- Reliable, professional approach with strong safety standards.
- Good communication skills and a practical, customer-focused attitude.
- Flexibility to support operational needs, including a 6 am start and occasional Saturday work.
