We are part of the Panda Recycling Group and a leading waste management company providing integrated collection and recycling services to a wide range of businesses and local authorities. We are seeking a skilled Fabricator–Welder to join our Fabrications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and refurbishing waste containers to a high standard, ensuring all work reflects the quality and professionalism expected by our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out welding, grinding, cutting, burning, and general fabrication duties as assigned by the Fabrications/Maintenance Manager.
- Repair and maintain waste containers, ensuring they are fully functional, safe, and presentable for customer use.
- Maintain machinery, tools, and equipment to a high standard, promptly reporting defects.
- Work collaboratively with the welding/fabrication team and approved third-party contractors.
- Ensure all work areas are free from hazards prior to commencing tasks.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards within the fabrication yard at all times.
- Support the maintenance workshop with tasks as required.
- Clean down your work area at the end of each shift and ensure safe working practices are followed.
- Complete and submit relevant documentation such as log sheets, tool checks, inspection reports, and other required paperwork.
- Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and site personnel while representing the company.
- Comply with all company Health and Safety regulations.
