We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Intake & Offtake Quality Coordinator to join our team at a busy recycling site. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of waste management processes, with WAMITAB Level 2 (or equivalent) being desirable. This role is essential in maintaining quality standards across incoming and outgoing waste streams, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Waste Intake Inspection
- Liaise between Commercial team and Operations, clearly communicate quality issues on both intake and offtake
- Inspect all incoming loads to ensure compliance with site standards and safety requirements
- Identify and differentiate waste materials accurately, including general waste, wood waste, and construction & demolition waste
- Reject or escalate loads that do not meet quality or safety criteria
- SRF & RDF Quality Control
- Develop and maintain a basic understanding of Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) and Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) waste streams
- Collect SRF samples for laboratory testing
- Conduct on-site quality tests and maintain accurate records of results
- Documentation & Reporting
- Complete all inspection reports clearly and accurately
- Maintain digital records of waste classifications, test results, and non-conformance reports
- Communicate quality issues to management and operational teams
- Site Support
- Assist operational staff with waste sorting guidance when needed
- Ensure the quality of outgoing materials meets customer and regulatory expectations
Requirements
- Essential Skills & Experience
- Working knowledge of waste management processes
- Ability to identify and classify different waste streams
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, busy recycling environment
- Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer competency
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- WAMITAB Level 2 or equivalent qualification in waste management
- Previous experience in a recycling or waste-handling environment
