The Role: We are seeking a motivated and reliable Rental and Operations Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our rental services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising and processing rental and sales orders across phone, email, and in-person interactions, exceeding expectations and driving sales targets.
- Understanding our diverse range of camera and lighting equipment within our inventory.
- Confidently discussing features and benefits of our equipment, suggesting alternative solutions to optimise client projects and maximise equipment utilisation.
- Strategically source equipment from external suppliers when needed, negotiating best prices and ensuring timely deliveries and returns.
- Clearly and effectively communicate with clients and colleagues, building positive relationships and maintaining a collaborative work environment.
- Actively participate in training sessions, read manuals, and stay informed about industry trends to enhance your expertise and remain at the forefront of equipment knowledge.
- Provide on‑hand support for the operations department, including equipment prep & deliveries in company vehicles when necessary.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Demonstratable experience in a similar role, preferably within photography/moving image.
- An interest and understanding of photographic principles, photography or image making.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organization.
- Strong initiative and a keen eye for detail.
- Valid driver's license for occasional transportation of equipment is essential.
