The Role: We are looking for a hands‑on Logistics Manager to lead our transport operations in Greenford, London. The Logistics Manager is responsible for the oversight of all company drivers and vehicles, ensuring the fleet operates within legal and statutory obligations. You will manage the Transport Desk on a shift basis, balancing customer deadlines with fleet capacity. The core objective is to maintain a compliant, safe, and cost‑efficient transportation network that connects our depots to our client base.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and analyse routes for maximum efficiency; manage all dispatch activity and driver allocations across multiple shifts.
  • Ensure total adherence to transport laws, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain rigorous vehicle maintenance schedules and driver license records.
  • Recruit and supervise qualified drivers, manage shift rotas with HR, and conduct performance reviews to enforce strict safety and service standards.
  • Monitor fuel costs and implement savings through GPS tracking, fleet management software, and strategic sub‑hire collection planning.
  • Act as the technical link between the Transport Desk and the Rental Desk to ensure seamless client communication.
  • Demonstrate your knowledge of international customs documentation, including the use of Carnets and temporary export‑import records.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Valid Transport Manager CPC qualification is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of transport legislation, driver hours, and health and safety requirements.
  • The ability to analyse incoming jobs and schedules to minimise the reliance on overtime and external agencies.
